January – FebruaryBasant Panchami Tilkotsav
Celebrated on Basant Panchami, the sacred Tilkotsav marks the ceremonial beginning of Lord Shiva’s divine wedding festivities. Thousands of devotees, especially from the Mithila region, arrive at Baba Baidyanath Dham carrying beautifully decorated Kanwars to perform Jalabhishek and offer the traditional Tilak to Lord Shiva. The festival symbolizes the invitation to the celestial marriage of Shiva and Parvati and is accompanied by devotional chants, vibrant rituals, and the joyous beginning of Holi celebrations in Mithilanchal.
February – MarchMahashivratri
The most sacred night of Lord Shiva, celebrated with all-night vigils, special pujas, and grand aartis at the Jyotirlinga.
July – AugustShravani Mela
The Shrawani Mela is one of India's largest and most sacred pilgrimages, held every year during the Hindu month of Shravan (July–August) at Baba Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar, Jharkhand. Millions of devotees, known as Kanwariyas, undertake a 105 km pilgrimage from Sultanganj carrying holy Ganga water to offer at the sacred Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga.The mela symbolizes faith, devotion, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal. Throughout the festival, Deoghar comes alive with devotional chants of "Bol Bam", vibrant processions, and a deeply spiritual atmosphere, making it a truly unforgettable experience for pilgrims and visitors alike.
